In my experience as a gamer I've come across many special tools for console gaming on PC.
Whether you're looking to mod old games or just experience the joy of nostalgia that is becoming harder to find as time goes on (or experience what all these hagard old gamers are talking about).
This web page will be dedicated to some of the best emulation and modded game play tools that I've found.
Everything you will see on this page is tested by myself and is highly recommended, if at least for the inexperienced user.
As far as gaming software goes, these are all softwares and tools that work well and don't take a lot of knowledge to get into.
When looking to get into emulation, these programs are a great place to start and mess around with.

The only tools I would recommend that will cost a little money but will absolutely complete the experience (usually between $10 - $20) Are these USB controllers you can plug straight into your computer and configure in the settings of pretty much any emulator.
(These are the best controllers I've found for an elevated experience)

Best Nintendo 64 Emulator and USB Controller for PC, Project 64.

First Step: Download and install your preferred emulator (Project 64):

Step 2: Download your game ROM:
emuparadise for ROMs
Step 3: Download and install WinRaR for your 32 or 64 bit system:
Win-RAR
Step 4: Extract Rom to your "New Folder"
Step 5: Start the emulator and load your game.
Step 6: Relive all those great memories!
Retrolink 64 USB controller on Amazon: Retrolink USB Controller for Nintendo 64 (Video Review of this controller can be found below!)
Note: I hear you may not need the WinRar software in order to use the ROM, you may be able to play directly from the zip file which was your initial ROM download.
