Best N64 USB Controller for Emulators and Why | Retrolink N64 USB Wired Controller for PC and MAC

When it comes to USB controllers for playing N64 console games on your computer, there's really nothing that can heavily set them apart.

Each 3rd party controller is generally made of the same quality that you would expect. There doesn't seem to be much of a reason to go with one USB controller over another.

So what makes this Retrolink N64 USB Wired Controller for PC and MAC my go to controller for playing Nintendo console style games?

It comes down to a few very simple concepts.

First, where should you buy your N64 USB Controller?

There are many sites out there that sell gaming gear and finding anywhere on the internet that you can trust can be a little daunting when having to search for a reputable site that has a product you're looking for that's selling for a price that you can afford (not to mention shipping costs).

Save yourself some time and just go to Amazon (there's a reason they've gotten as big as they have): Amazon Website

Second, What controller should I buy?

There are a few controllers like the Brawler 64 Game pad (this controller actually has quite an amazing design), which solved many problems with the original 64 controller, like the fact that the original for some reason, was designed for 3 hands...

You can find one here on AmazonBrawler 64 Game Pad (but I can bet that when you click the link, you'll be lucky if you can find any available for purchase).

This presents an obvious issue that the Retrolink N64 USB Wired Controller for PC and MAC offers a simple solution to. where as this controller has never been unavailable when my current USB controller finally burns out after beating the hell out of it many hours a day for several months, since I use them daily in my Live Stream on YouTube Gaming

The controller is also always paired with Amazon Prime benefits, which includes FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING!

Another thing to think about is the fact that the controller is inexpensive and I've never seen one selling for over $20 (usually around $13), which is the general price of a knock off Logitech USB controller that can usually be found at Walmart.

The problem with buying any other style of controller is obvious. Nintendo 64 games were designed with the "C buttons" that can only be found on the old N64 controllers. Meaning that playing any other controller style regardless of quality, is never going to match up to the feel of the original Nintendo 64 controllers.

In the end, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by playing these games any other way.

You may also say, "why not just buy the original system?"

I would say, "why did you read this article?"
